A MAGICAL LIGHT, SUSPENDED BETWEEN ROSES AND THE DOLOMITES
“Many centuries ago, in the heart of the Dolomites, there was a kingdom inhabited by dwarves. Their king, a wise and kind ruler, had a wonderful rose garden whose beauty was only equalled by that of his daughter, Princess Ladina. The roses were so spectacular that they caught the attention of the Prince of Latemar, who decided to take a closer look. He came across Ladina, fell hopelessly in love with her and kidnapped her. The poor king cursed his roses, blaming them for taking away the one thing that was dearest to him in the whole world and ordered them never to flower again “neither by day nor night”. In his anger, he forgot to mention dawn and dusk: that is why at these times of the day we can still admire the king’s beautiful roses, whose stunning reflection creates the phenomenon of Enrosadira -the Alpenglow.
